We are taking a step outside our Essential Elements book to learn 2 new songs for our Christmas Concert, set to take place in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 7pm on the evening of Monday, December 14.
The strings will be performing by themselves, but the concert will also include the 5th grade band, the St. Cecilia band, and the middle school choir. It should be a wonderful evening of beautiful music.
Wardrobe for this concert is as follows: white button down shirt, black slacks or skirt, black shoes and black socks. Girls may opt for a black and white dress. Jeans, shorts, and t-shirts are not acceptable, dress clothes are the expectation.
You should be very proud of the progress these beginning strings players have made! Picking up a new instrument and learning it from scratch is not an easy feat, but everyone is having a great time learning together! Please mark your calendars for December 14 so we can celebrate the progress they have made.
Please also make sure you are monitoring your students' practicing, as it is essential to making sure we are ready to rock at the Christmas concert! One hour per week is the expectation (but more certainly wouldn't hurt!)
