What an exciting time for the brand new violinists and cellists! In only a few short weeks, we've made our way through almost 13 pages of the Essential Elements book. In about a week or so, your students will begin playing their instruments with their bows!
Learning a new instrument from scratch can be a frustrating time for all involved, but so far I have noticed nothing but excitement and eagerness to face this challenge. Patience is an incredible virtue, and it is one I have seen a lot of in our rehearsals together. Even so, everyone has been encouraging and helpful towards one another so we can be the best string ensemble we can be!
In order to be the best we can be, practice must take place. Please make sure to monitor your students' practicing at home, to make sure they are hitting 60 minutes a week! The progress we make as an ensemble depends on these 60 minutes.
I am so blessed to be working with your students in helping them learn the instruments that I love! Any questions that you may have about what your students should be practicing, or about the class in general, please do not hesitate to contact me.
